Mid-Century Austin Find: Majestic Fireplace

I've been debating adding an outdoor fireplace to our carport patio. In the end I don't think it'd get enough use, but the right fireplace would look pretty slick out there.

While I'm hemming and hawing you might want to snatch up this harvest gold mid-century, wood-burning, free-standing fireplace.

  1. What a coincidence - my boyfriend just snatched up an awesome Condon-King "Aztec" ceramic fireplace for our patio. He was working on a house demo project and the owners wanted to throw it away! Huge score, especially since it'll replace the less than desirable fireplace that we have now.

Great blog, by the way. :)

  2. I love those things! We have an 8' orange one in our store now that's similar. That's a darn good price for the gold one.

  3. @Casey: Thanks! And, wow, what a find. I'm amazed by the things people will throw away. Some people just don't know what they've got.

@Dana: Orange would be our color of choice. A Malm 30" Zircon fireplace in orange to be exact. Not that I've spent hours thinking about it or anything :)

  5. It actually wasn't mine; it was just a good deal that I saw on craigslist. And it looks like it's gone now. Good luck with your hunt.

  6. I have the orange Majestic same style as the pic above if anyone is interested. Summer is coming and it needs a home!

  7. I have one just like this that I am planning on getting rid of. How much does something like this sell for?

    1. It's hard to say for a variety of reasons, but this post might help: http://www.madformidcentury.com/2012/04/pricing-mid-century-furniture.html
