There really isn't anything out there at all unless you go to some of the "hipster" shops in the big cities, and then it'll cost you an arm and a leg. Thank goodness I found my sputnik lamp at an estate sale. If you are looking for another ceiling light, go check out The Brick House. They have a really neat looking DIY retro-modern chandelier that can be put together on the cheap.

It's unbelievably hard to find well-priced modern lighting. I only had 4 requirements: ceiling mount, no halogen, under $100 and looks good. That essentially limited my selection to this light or nothing.

And rug questioned answered (I like #1).

Looks so much better than the ripple glass! It's so hard to find new, modern lighting at a reasonable price though.
